Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd Invites Small and Diverse Businesses to Strengthen its Supply Chain; Event Scheduled for 10 December 2025 in Mumbai

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), a premier Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced a Special Vendor Development Programme exclusively for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), SC/ST entrepreneurs, and women-led enterprises. The programme aims to expand MDL’s vendor ecosystem and promote inclusive participation in India’s defence manufacturing sector. The event will be held on 10 December 2025, from 1400 to 1700 hours, at MDRC Hall, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd., Dockyard Road, Mumbai.

MDL’s Commitment to Inclusive Growth

MDL is one of India’s leading shipyards, known for constructing advanced warships and submarines for the Indian Navy and refurbishing commercial vessels. As the defence sector expands, MDL is taking proactive steps to integrate small and diverse entrepreneurs into its supply chain.

The company stated that it seeks to onboard more suppliers for the provision of materials and services for its ongoing and upcoming shipyard projects.

Special Vendor Development Programme for MSEs, SC/ST & Women Entrepreneurs

As part of its outreach efforts, MDL is collaborating with the Ministry of MSME to host a comprehensive Vendor Development Programme aimed at:

  • Providing procurement insights to new and emerging vendors
  • Encouraging participation of MSEs from SC/ST communities
  • Supporting women entrepreneurs in entering the defence manufacturing ecosystem
  • Offering guidance on registration and procurement processes

All eligible enterprises are invited to attend the programme and engage with MDL’s Supply Chain Management team.

Eligibility and Vendor Registration Support

MDL encourages interested MSEs, SC/ST, and Women Entrepreneurs to submit relevant documents along with the Supplier Registration Form (SRF) to initiate the registration process.

This formal step is essential for becoming a Registered Vendor of MDL. Vendors may obtain the SRF and registration support via:

  • Email: sr@mazdock.com
  • Website: www.mazagondock.in

Additionally, the Annual Procurement Plan for MSEs and the Goods & Services Procurement Plan for Micro & Small Enterprises are available on the MDL website, as well as the MSME Sambandh Portal (https://sambandh.msme.gov.in).
