MUMBAI I Bhagyashri Rajendra Vartak, State President of the Differently Abled Wing – Maharashtra State, and Balasaheb Sonawane, State Vice President of the Divyang Wing – Maharashtra State, under the Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held an important meeting in Mumbai on January 10, 2026, to discuss the future expansion of the Divyang Wing across the state.
The meeting focused on building strong organisational teams in all districts of Maharashtra to strengthen support for Divyang entrepreneurs.
The leaders outlined a roadmap to expand the Divyang Wing’s presence at the district level, ensuring inclusive representation and effective grassroots engagement.

District-Level Leadership to Be Appointed
As part of the expansion strategy, Differently Abled Wing (Maharashtra State) (Divyang Wing) of Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry will soon appoint district presidents across Maharashtra. These appointments aim to create a structured leadership framework that can directly address the challenges faced by Divyang entrepreneurs at the local level.
Focus on Empowering Divyang Entrepreneurs
Following the formation of district-level teams, the Divyang Wing will begin focused initiatives to promote entrepreneurship, capacity building, and economic empowerment among Divyang individuals. The planned activities are expected to enhance access to opportunities, networks, and institutional support for aspiring and existing Divyang (Differently Abled) entrepreneurs across the state.
The initiative reflects Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s continued commitment to inclusive economic development and the empowerment of Divyang communities through entrepreneurship and organised leadership.
